To protect our guests and staff

General

Hygiene has always been a top priority at the OLYMP Munich. We have been working in accordance with the HACCP standard from the outset. In order to adapt to the current situation, the hygiene guidelines were further tightened and all framework conditions adjusted to ensure maximum safety for guests and employees in the OLYMP Munich.

  • All members of staff have been trained on the necessary hygiene guidelines
  • All cleaning work has been intensified
  • Any accumulation of people has been avoided
  • All employees, guests and visitors are obliged
    to wear a suitable face mask in the public areas of the OLYMP Munich.
  • If an employee has any cold symptoms, they will be released from work immediately
    and referred to medical treatment for clarification.

Entrance areas

  • All entrance doors remain open at peak hours.
  • Hand sanitiser dispensers are available at all entrance areas.
  • All entrance areas have signs detailing codes of conduct.

Lobby/Check-in/Check-out

  • Large ventilated area.
  • Perspex barrier between front desk staff and guests.
  • Signs detailing our code of conduct.
  • Option of contactless online check-in and online check-out.
  • Disinfection of all room cards and keys before issue and upon return.
  • Face masks are available for purchase at reception.
  • All contact surfaces (desk, card terminal, etc.) are disinfected regularly.

Lifts

  • Sign states “Use alone or only with persons of the same household”.
  • All controls are regularly disinfected.

Floors & In-Room

  • Fixed allocation of floor/room attendants.
  • Disinfection of all contact surfaces (light switches, handles, telephone, etc.) during each cleaning.
  • Ventilation of the rooms during the entire cleaning time of approx. 30 minutes with fully open  window (not tilted) – where possible with draught.
  • Mattresses with hygiene cover.
  • No decorative pillows, bedspreads etc. on the beds.
  • Change of cleaning cloths after each room.
  • Cleaning staff wear face masks as they move around the hotel.
  • Digital guest folder on the guest’s own end device.

Wellness and fitness areas/Massage services

  • Partially restricted use until further notice.
  • Access limitations.
  • Regular cleaning and disinfection has always been standard here.

Public Areas/Toilets

  • One employee is responsible for disinfecting all contact surfaces all day long
    (stair railings, door handles, handles, handle plates, etc.).
  • Public toilets can be used by a maximum of two people (information signs).
  • Signs detailing proper hand hygiene.
  • Disposable/paper towels in public toilets.
  • Cleaning plan and documentation of cleaning of public toilets.
  • Hand sanitiser dispenser available in all public toilets.
  • Every second cubicle locked (<for social distancing >)

Restaurant

  • Reduced restaurant capacity to ensure social distancing.
  • Lengthy ventilation of the dining rooms before and after meals with ventilation protocol.
  • Whenever the weather permits, use of outdoor dining facilities.
  • Room service is available at no extra charge.
  • Breakfast as a served buffet with packaged and covered food.
  • Egg dishes, etc., are freshly prepared on request and served at the table.
  • One-way walking route concept.
  • No salt and pepper shakers on the table.
  • Cutlery in pouches.
  • Use of disposable paper napkins only.
  • Service staff wear face masks.
  • The table is only cleared after the guests have left the table.

Restaurant II

  • Reception desk with health enquiry.
  • No free choice of seating. Guests are shown to their seats.
  • Collection of guest data to ensure traceability of contacts.
  • Disinfection of all contact surfaces (tables and chairs) during changeover.
  • Digital menu on the guest’s own end device.
  • Comprehensive and clear signage.

Meeting/Workshop Rooms

  • Signs detailing the applicable code of conduct.
  • Allocation of extra-large meeting rooms (one room category larger than usual).
  • Only every other chair is occupied (chair acts as spacer) or corresponding
    seating in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  • Comprehensive cleaning and disinfection after use of the room.

Coffee breaks for meeting guests

  • Time slots for individual groups or coffee breaks in the meeting room.
  • Disinfection of all contact surfaces when changing groups.
  • Cleaning takes place after coffee breaks.
  • Packaged food and bottled drinks.
