POWER TO THE CHILDREN

German singer Herbert Grönemeyer once sang: “Put your kids in charge”. And he was right. if children and teenagers aren’t having fun on holiday, you can’t enjoy your holiday as a parent either. Fortunately, Munich and the surrounding area offer plenty of entertainment for children and teenagers – and (almost) everything can be reached in 30 minutes. Have fun!

FRESH AIR
A lovely way to work out.

Right on the doorstep of the OLYMP Munich, the Echinger recreational area offers football pitches and tennis courts, an adventure playground, beach volleyball and a swimming lake . Fancy a bike ride? Then head for the “World Forest” to explore the forests of the world on various themed trails on a hundred hectare plot just outside Freising. Less nature but considerably more technology can be found in the Visitors Park at Munich Airport. It’s just three S-Bahn stops from Eching! And if you want a real buzz, then scale the 10-metre High Rope Course in Aschheim.

RHINOS, ZEBRAS & MORE… All kinds of four-legged friends live
around the OLYMP Munich.

And they would love you to visit them. Choose between a classic zoo experience in Munich’s Zoo Hellabrunn with its many exotic animal species or a rather more domestic selection in the Wildpark Poing with wild boar, fallow deer and more. A slightly different option is the Blindham Mountain Zoo, set in beautiful landscape with donkeys, llamas and rabbits and also a play area covering 2000 m2. No matter which zoo you choose, thanks to the perfect location of the OLYMP Munich you will get there in no time and have a whale of a time.

3 DAYS OF RAIN?
We haven’t neglected to gather ideas for the (regrettable) chance of rain

Since water is falling from the sky, why not take a look at more of it in the SEALIFE Aquarium in the Munich Olympic Park? Do you prefer your water a shade warmer? Then head off to the Freisinger Erlebnis swimming pool FRESCH or the THERME ERDING. A trip to the huge ERDINO indoor playground would no doubt be drier, if a little sweatier. For football fans (even those who don’t support FC Bayern), a guided tour of the nearby Allianz Arena is a highlight. Other alternatives include the largest bowling alley in Munich, the DREAM BOWL PALACE in Unterföhring, or the CINEPLEXX cinema complex in the neighbouring town of Freising. You see –  even bad weather doesn’t stop you from having a great day and creating wonderful memories. Practical umbrellas for the dash to the car are available free of charge at every exit door at the OLYMP Munich.

ACTION-PACKED
Is this sounding a little tame so far? Then buckle up…

in one of the speedy go-karts at the Kartpalast Funpark near Dachau. There are no seatbelts when you’re in free fall. At least, that’s exactly how it feels when you venture into the wind tunnel with Bodyflying at the FLYSTATION Neufahrn! Power and endurance are required when you take your children on the more than 70 XXL trampolines and explore the 3600 m2 of the AIRHOP Munich trampoline park.

Slightly further afield there are two more exceptional destinations: the BAYERNPARK amusement park with numerous attractions, just one hour from the OLYMP Munich, and the Wild West atmosphere of PULLMAN CITY, about 1.5 hours away. After an action-packed day, we look forward to a herd of cowboys and cowgirls having dinner with a special children’s menu in our OLYMP Restaurant.
